Liam Gerrard

Liam Gerrard is a Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland based artist, specialising in large scale charcoal and pastel drawing. 

 

Gerrard's work consistently deals with notions of beauty and decay, and examining often overlooked details within the natural world. Focusing on elements that are deeply familiar but rarely centre stage, and bringing them and their life cycle into sharp focus. 

 

A lifelong Aucklander, Gerrard was born in Devonport, attended Elam School of Fine Art, and has been working out of Arthaus Contemporary since 2016. He is also represented by Sanderson Contemporary in Newmarket.
