Arthaus Contemporary is an artist run gallery space, that house artist studios for the core artists as well as a central gallery space playing host to resident and guest artist exhibitions and events.
Founded in 2016, we are a non-profit gallery hosting interesting and exciting art exhibitions of emerging and established artists from around New Zealand.
We welcome exhibition proposals from all artists.
ArtHAUS seeks proposals from innovative, emerging and established New Zealand artists. Proposals may be solo, collaborative, group projects or curatorial. All genres considered.
Successful proposals will be subject to a $200 bond to be paid on approval/confirmation of exhibition. Bond will be non-refundable if cancelled within the 2 weeks prior to exhibition.
Hire of the Gallery is $50 per week. This is to be paid 2 weeks prior to your exhibition.
Exhibitor/Hirer must have their exhibition open daily 11-3pm.
It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to man their exhibition.
The weekly hire period runs from Wednesday to Tuesday inclusive - you must install and de-install within these days [NB this is to allow for each exhibitor to be open over the weekend and install/de- install to be done over the working week].
Maximum exhibition period is 3 weeks unless otherwise appoved.
The gallery is to be staffed by the hirer who takes care of all sales, promotions, openings and
opening hours. No Commission is required by artHAUS.
An exhibition poster will be designed for you. This will be used to promote the show outside the gallery as well as on our website and social media platforms. It will be the responsibility of the exhibitor to pay for them when collecting from the printers ( around $75).
Please send proposals and preferred exhibiting dates to Monique Lacey. firstname.lastname@example.org
